Questionaire Joris van Dijk - Stylos

- A outdoor place for students is needed, with easy acces and inviting. A place for gathering, where students can take some time away from their college life.

- Stylos doesn't have a good place to have drinks and meeting hours for students with the Stylos Board.

- They would also like a exhibiting of student work with a constant changing program. - In this way the park will become a promotion and informative space of the faculty/university.

- a last nivce thing that would be nice is a creative space for students (this creative outburst(for instance workshops) should be kept for longer time). - These functions mainly should take place outside, shelter from rain and wind would be nice sometimes - It would be fantastic if this intervention would be designable by students or other users themselfes

- during the day Stylos would use it in breakes, but it should also be usefull without constant monitoring or reservations. For events different times and dates will be reserved.

- Including lunchbreaks and relaxing stylos is interested in use over 10 times a week. - Personal design is nice but some standard configurations would be nice.

- Stylos is interested in being the exploiting/supervising actor.

- Stylos get offers from compagny's asking them if it is possible to sponsor, this is very usefull for the rest of the course

- Make it solid and ‘indestructible. It should be working without supervision as well. There is nobody now, make it also interesting when people don’t rent it, you could investigate how people use it.

- Make a connection to the BK main entrance, the road will be less busy and there is already an open space connection(visually ore fysically).

Questionaire Linda Ammerlaan - Kadmium

- Kadmium could use this intervention for Workshops, outside movie’s, temporarily art in the open air, flexible stage for: theater, music, fashionshow - It is important the site has some basics like: basic electrics, water, lightning, toilet, trashcans - Some sixes which are needed for different activity's Workshop +- 6*6m, stage +-7*7m

- It should be dominantly outside, maybe with a roof to keep dry but without limiting visual image.

- From 10 up to 120 people - Yhe lightning installations should be extendable for events. - Use will start with 6x a year, when succesfull more

- Different functions need different lay outs

- so design options would be nice.

- the willingness to rent/pay depend on the amount of functions and basics we are provided. The more we get the more we are willing to pay.

- Indication of costs for renting, normally a stage costs arround 750 euro and a tent(6*6) about 450 euro. - It would be nice to connect the University, inner city and wippolder. Also a visual connection to mekelpark and bridge/bastiaanplein.

Questionaire Linda de Vos - Bouwpub

- We can use it for outdoor party zone, bbq, Beaujolaisparty, music with dj, christmasparty

- We need lightning, electricity, permission of the goverment

- For some events we would like to use the whole area, other activity's might be small

- It should be able to make a locked area, so only paying/invited visitors are allowed.

- All this can be done outdoors

- Changeable, depends on event.

- A stage can also come in handy

- Use, once a month and additional 4 times a year

- It should be a student design, with influence of the bartenders(they now how to build up beertanks and stages)

- We are a foundation with low prices, we like to keep costs and prices low. So low rental costs

- 100euro per activity, will take care of all kind of materials ourselfes

- Sport en Culture of tudelft might also be interested Name: Linda de Vos company: Bouwpub

Jan Brouwer - TOP

- To combine technique, design and art. These combinations should be made through; lectures, discussions, workshops and a designshop

- For everybody interested. Designers, architects, researchers (TNO and TUD but also other), artist and the citizens of Delft.

- The design shop has 15000 visitors Lectures, discussions and workshops => 40 a year * 50 visitors = 2000

- This happens 2 a week, wednesday evening and weekends

- Personal contact on informal bases, sometimes subsidieswith the goverment and University

- Personal contact on informal bases, we sometimes exhibit the productsof TUDelft - Personal contact on informal bases, we sometimes exhibit the productsscience centre

- We are happy in ouer current place, with a new concept wich we are not yet using we might be interested to extend.

- Are alreayd sharing a building with HYPO, the lunchcafe and the designshop.

after these questions we entered a conversation where it became clear TOP sometimes would like to use an outside space to exhibit certain objects which need more space. They have no intention of moving, however some of their exhibitions would have been better closer to the TUDELFT so people with knowledge could support the exhibition. One of the problems Jan saw was the seperation between the use. To link the students to the citizens it would be neccesary to find a moment in the day both of them are in the neighberhood. In a normal day student would be there during working houers and visitors would be there after working houers.

Emiel Harmsen - DAC

- We would probably mainly use is for Marketing for shop and workshops

- These activities need protection against damage, weather elements, lightning different sizes for different piece - Outside if it safe, inside when it need to be protected to the elements.

- Would be nice to have different lightning.

- An exhibition would be nicest spread through the park

- We would use it in summertime, no specific time or date - Up to 6x a year

- Would be nice to be able to shape it a bit

- willingness to pay depends on what the design will be but budget is low(+-100 euro a year? Ore commission based)

Questionaire Ivo Esseveld - Alumni office

- What kind of functions do you organize for alumni?

We organize symposia(http://home.tudelft.nl/nl/over-tu-delft/alumni/activiteiten/alumnisymposium2011/), lectures(http://home.tudelft.nl/nl/over-tu-delft/alumni/activiteiten/alumnilezing-limburg/)

coach café (http://home.tudelft.nl/nl/over-tu-delft/alumni/carriere/coach-cafe/)

Alumni chapters alumni who went to work outside the Netherlands and want to get in contact with other alumni organise a drink or dinner and we will help them out with a lecture and finance the event.

- Where do organize these activities?

If you mean where we hold them, it depends of the number of visitors. Symposia in the Aula, lectures across Holland which is the same for the Coach Café

- How many alumni are registered to your organization?

We have about 45.000 alumni in our database

- How many alumni attend at your activity’s?

This differs greatly per activity. This year’s symposium will probably attract 750 people, but the Coach Café for example it’s about 50 people

- Who are the most active alumni? (for instance which faculty or age group)

The most active ones are recently graduated alumni, who want to learn the tricks of the trade in career building and retired alumni who are less busy with work . Active on the social network, like LinkedIn or twitter are the alumni between 30 and 40 years old. Active on the Symposia are the alumni between 35 and 55 years old who wants to explore a larger network.

- What kind of activity is most popular? The symposium gets a lot of visitors because of the speakers.

- Do you know anything about already existing interaction between students and alumni?

There are some vehicles to get something going between students and alumni but I don’t think they’ve been really successful. You have to think about what alumni get out of it: some might help students out kindness but it’s better to have something to offer in return for their help, preferably not involving a cash flow.

- Does the alumni office need a additional space, or is there a space/ facility you would like to use from time to time?

I would have to say no. For events we need venues but usually that is not a problem.
