Concept

Through conducting research that attempted to define intimacy in terms of its components, we became aware of the significance edge conditions. Our concept deals with enhancing intimacy throughout the year by the manipulation of thresholds or border conditions.
These changes in border conditions appeal to the natural human consciousness of centrality and verticality. Through nesting spaces and experimenting with various densities and dimensions of both thresholds and edge conditions, we can evaluate our understanding of how the edges of space can encourage intimacy among users.

Verticality

Originally conceived for students, our intervention will nevertheless be applicable to all visitors of the site. The clients will be the primary means of testing the success or failure of our experiments relating to the magnification of intimacy.

Seasonal Variation
