Collaboration/relation to other atoms

We design for the other atoms, for a better working environment, so that they can create better designs. The present atoms and project cannot benefit from this design, however we did do research on them in order to make the design. With this research (through interviews, organising workshops and debates), we did try to help them this semester. At the end of the semester we will research if our efforts did actually provide them of anything which were beneficial to their design processes.

We did not directly collaborate with other atoms to form a project, however we did provide all of them with certain beneficial tools. So to say we did work together with all of them.

Relation to other projects

In our semester only one project was created between atom 10 and 11. In our process they weren't treated different than the other atoms. So to say there are nine projects.

Relation to other developments on the site

Our design is a beneficial tool located in ProtoSpace or at the site, used to enhance design processes. Our design is a hub providing all the other teams at the site. Due to its open source design, future projects can enhance the design to their needs, also on the project site.

Relations to experts/clients/users

Experts were consulted for their knowledge concerning collaborative design. This knowledge is used in making the design. The users and clients however will validate the design after its realisation. Actually they can enhance or change parts of it to their liking. The validation will not only be on paper or verbal, it will actually take shape during time.

In order for this to happen, the design should be:

  • Used. There should be a incentive for users to re-design parts of the structure, and not make a new (better) design.
  • Well documented in order for anyone to understand its process, and continue it.
